Mmm, Pie.....

I have to admit it. Thanksgiving this year was a little disappointing on the dessert front. My mom did make a delicious lemon meringue pie, and a yummy little chocolate cream number (Bad and the Princess's favourites, respectively) but my MIL inexplicably decided to serve chocolate chip banana bread and fruit salad for dessert. I mean, wtf?

Consequently, there has been an unhappy little voice in my head muttering, "pie...apple pie....why me have no pie?" at inopportune moments all week. I decided today that something had to be done before this craving got ridiculously out of hand.

This is what we're having for dinner....now what am I going to do with myself until it comes out of the oven?
update: it's out of the oven....(and we are having soup first)
mmm....delicious pie....I can't wait to eat you!

I rely on no one to provide thanksgiving desert because pie is a MUST on Thanksgiving!!!

What is wrong with people?! You can't go serving bread and fruit for Thanksgiving dessert. Something like that can have profound emotional impact on a person's sense of tradition, and leave them craving for an entire year.

That is a beeeeyoootiful pie. Can I come over?
